Farewell weekend // “Alla dann!” from us—or, for the non-Mannheimers, “Bye for now!”

Kunsthalle Mannheim bids you farewell with an exciting “Alla dann!” weekend, after which the museum will close completed until its reopening at the end of 2017. The new building and the art nouveau building have to be connected both architecturally and technically. When this is completed, the  thousands of paintings and sculptures in storage will be returned to Mannheim and this unique collection will be readied for a new exhibition! Over the long weekend from January 6 to 8, 2017, you will have the opportunity once again to discover and enjoy the 240 masterpieces of the ARCHE, as well as the special exhibition Fritz Schwegler, which includes 500 works. On Sunday, the director of Kunsthalle Mannheim, Dr. Ulrike Lorenz, will give you a preview of our exciting plans for the new building, soon scheduled to be completed. So, “Alla dann!”—we’ll see you again soon.
