Kunsthalle / On the Move

Open House Days of the new building at Kunsthalle Mannheim: Herzensobjekte, art slam & artist talk - December 16, 2017, 5:30pm, Kunsthalle Mannheim, New Building // Residents of the region are encouraged to plug a favorite object from their private collection or from the project “Give&Take/Art” by Berlin artist Antoanetta Marinov. Just like at a poetry slam, an audience prize will be awarded.
As part of the transition from outdoor space into the museum’s new building, the series will host an art slam. Residents bring along or create a favorite object to sell for the highest possible offer in hope of winning the audience prize.
The objects originate from Berlin artist Antoanetta Marinov’s project “Give&Take/Art”, designed for Mannheim’s residents. According to the principle of “gifting”, art is put into circulation via “gift stations” and is thus detached from the conventional economic cycle. These special objects and unique items will be presented at the art slam and followed by a DJ set by art historian and musician Justin Hoffmann.

5:30pm: Artist talk with Antoinetta Marinov

6pm: Art Slam, followed by a DJ set by art historian and musician Justin Hoffmann
