// The art historian and author will read from his parodic diaristic novel about a fictional artist preparing to make a comeback at documenta in Kassel.
An event dedicated to Ronny Läpplinger, an artist from Böblingen who made it to documenta five years ago, only to have a serious accident while performing at its opening, leaving him in a coma. Ever since, he has been at the Heidelberg university hospital. Now documenta has rolled around again, will Ronny wake up?
At the Städtische Galerie Sindelfingen Dr. Christian Saehrendt will introduce and read from his tongue-in-cheek novel, the diary of a fictional artist named Ronny Läpplinger, based in Böblingen, who is preparing to make his comeback at documenta in Kassel. Featuring several well-known figures, the fictional biography is a parodic portrayal of regional artists seeking to make their mark on a globalized art market.
