The STUDIO exhibition "On the Quiet" is already online and features a series of video clips. With the reopening of the Kunsthalle after the closure caused by Covid-19, the exhibition is now open for our guests.

Visit the exhibition in the STUDIO of the Kunsthalle Mannheim and follow the new exhibition format online:

The concept:

Beginning with the idea of creating an entire exhibition from the contents of a suitcase, Benjamin Appel and Carolina Perez Pallares came up with the concept of packing a suitcase with artworks and ideas for site-specific installations that had a total weight of 31.5 kilograms, to be presented at selected museums. The decision to use the format of a package references the exchange of goods, the increased use of delivery services, and the constant risk of items being lost in transit. Kunsthalle Mannheim will be the exhibition’s second stop, after its premiere at the Galerie Stadt Sindelfingen.

Due to the measures required by COVID-19, the exhibition is additionally set up as an online format. On two specially created profiles of "On the Quiet" on Facebook and Instagram, 13 extra video clips will be published in regular succession over the duration of the exhibition. The series will result in a video gallery presented on an extra monitor in the Studio and on the Kunsthalle Mannheim website.
